Sunday Morning Re-Set

Practicing meditation outdoors is extremely beneficial for grounding, releasing tension and stress, and balancing and integrating our nervous systems. We can open more deeply to the beauty around us, and accept the invitation to be ever mindful of our deep connection with Mother Earth. We'll practice sitting meditation, walking meditation, and Qigong, gradually unraveling our stress and gently opening our senses and hearts. And we gratefully support each other's practice, in community.

Vegan Social: Plant-Based Holidays

Join us for a social gathering to support each other in celebrating the holidays in vegan style! Bring your favorite plant-based recipes, pictures, and stories to share. Charity will offer her top ten tips for how to respond to and avoid some of the most common pitfalls and challenges that emerge around family/social gatherings and food. And we’ll have time for discussion, connection, and laughter.

Waking Up to Speciesism, Together

Let’s meet in community to unpack the belief systems of Speciesism and Carnism, and explore how the internalization of these systems informs and drives our societal and individual choices and behaviors. We’ll watch a short Tedx talk with Melanie Joy entitled, “Toward Rational, Authentic Food Choices”, followed by journaling, inquiry and a guided community discussion.

qigong in the garden

Move, Release, Ground 

Join me for a full hour of Qigong practice, including spinal-enlivening warm-ups, purging exercises to help release stress and stagnation, standing meditation to build qi, and a specially chosen flow series to circulate qi. We'll end with a guided sitting mediation and time for q+a. All levels are welcome, and exercises can be adapted for sitting as well.
